Let’s see what I can do here…

Sip the sauce…

Vibe with the tunes…

Oh yeah, here we go…

New is good. Right? Yeah, usually. I like new; I suppose that’s all that matters. New, different, unexpected. Seemingly good. I can dig it. Alright, digging it…

My here, my now…is stale. Old, moldy, icky tasting and starting to turn various shades of moldy green. I need change. Plural. Changes. With all due respect to everything else in the universe, I’m just too special and soo soo much better than the “this” that I’m currently a part of.

How many more shots is it going to take today? I think I’m at 4. I think. Hmm…

Darwin's Radio

I’m currently reading a novel I bought many years ago. Probably around 2000. Not years. The year. I’m no sage. It’s “Darwin’s Radio” by Greg Bear. I read his “Eon” while in high school and absolutely loved it. With this one, however, I have probably picked it up and put it down at least a half dozen times over the past 7 years. To be honest Mr. Bear, the first 150 pages are kinda hard to get into. I felt no emotional attachment to the characters until Kaye and Mitch decide to be interested in each other. Anyhow, I was determined to not put it down this time and now I’m quite proudly nearly finished. Good read past the first 150 pages, should anyone feel so inclined and determined.

What else?

Got the new Coldplay album. Eh. Not as good as XY or A Rush of Blood to the Head. Good, but not as good. Actually to be honest, I’ve only listed to it a few times. So I won’t say anything else about it until I’ve really had a chance to get thoroughly into it. Also got Janet’s new album Discipline. Not for everday listening, but seems like it’d be a spectacular Fuck Me album to enjoy while getting it on. Also got Madonna’s Hard Candy.Hard Candy [Deluxe Edition] (10) Really, is Madonna even significant anymore? Don’t get me wrong, I LOVE Madge…but this album just seems so contrived. Almost as if she knows little else to do than cater to her legions of rabid gay fans with albums chock full of electronic dance yumminess. It just makes me curious as to wether she’ll ever do music actually worth attaching yourself to ever again. Dance can be emotional, just look to the likes of Bjork for evidence of that. Madge isn’t on that train though. It seems she’s just on the cash train. <3 U Madge! Don’t hate. Oh oh oh! I also got the new Alanis album! Slober drool pant whine…Oy. This is the Alanis album most of her fans have been waiting for. The album has an edgy electronic vibe with help from the same producer who works with Bjork. It’s modern, it’s hip, and the electronic beats and synths put a hard edge to Alanis’ otherwise “self-help” with too many syllables. I strongly recomend giving it a chance and picking it up!

Whew, got all that off my mind. Hehe.

As far as everything else…in the words of Bjork: How am I going to make it right?
